The Bible is not a dispensary that we come to for our daily dose of inspiration or good feelings. Nevertheless, the Bible does speak directly to the depressedwhich is good news for people like me who often find themselves engulfed in the darkness. Even when we feel as if He has moved on to other things … we must believe. Even in the worst situations, we can know that God is in control. God is bigger than anything we face. He is bigger than illness; He is bigger than death He conquered it. He hears our prayers and knows our needs as if ours were the only one.
Nothing gets in His way from hearing your heart. Trust Jesus to meet your need. Not only was the woman healed and the girl brought back to life, Jesus was concerned about their spiritual and physical needs.
He made sure the girl was given food. Both had needs and Jesus met them. We can know that Jesus understands exactly what our need is and He comes just in time to meet every need. God is good, all the time; even in hard times. In our hopelessness we can know that the God of hope has sent His Son, Jesus, the Hope of the world, to meet us, work in our situation regardless of any hurdles we face and will meet our needs in amazing ways.

Pray for the ability to break free of distractions and pay attention to what matters most in life: loving God and others. Ask God to give you the faith and courage you need to follow where He leads you and to love people in need unconditionally so you can become a part of His redemptive work in their lives and help make the world a better place. Get to know the people who live near you and those who work with you. Ask them questions about their lives, and listen carefully.
When they share specific needs with you, pray for them and help them in whatever practical ways God leads. Pray for God to help you see His reflection in the faces of the people you meet, and to offer compassion as an act of worship rather than just a duty. Pursue understanding.
Chronic hopelessness limits your thinking so that you can't accurately understand how to see yourself, God, and other people. Ask the Holy Spirit to renew your mind so you can think healthy thoughts that will lead to healthy attitudes and actions that change your life for the better.
Read the Bible often, and study it and meditate on it as well. Keep a worship journal in which you record your encounters with God in worship and what you've learned about Him as a result. Pray daily for God to give you more wisdom to make the right decisions in life - decisions that will help you fulfill God's purposes for your life. Make sure that you're devoting your time and energy to activities that will truly help you fulfill those purposes.H opeless.
All are descriptors of occasional feelings we must endure. No one travels this path of life without encountering a despondent moment. But we must not remain stuck in the rut of the lost. Indeed, the believer may be more susceptible to despondency than the heathen. We are taught that God is just a prayer away and that we are never far from him Acts We believe in prayer and live expecting God to always answer our prayers in just the way we want him to.
When our prayers do not deliver, we feel rejected, maybe even betrayed. Our faith, so strong in fair weather, is suddenly so empty in the storm. Yet, the world is an evil place. It is devilish Ephesians and has thrown off any semblance of Godliness long ago. After a while, we are tired. We are war weary and soon drift into hopelessness. When we see brethren sin, we are disappointed. But sometimes we feel alone on our battles. The brother or sister we prayed with yesterday is not the warrior we hoped.
If they failed, my own failure is not far away. The family that is the church may seem distant on Monday or Tuesday.
Our Sunday co-worshippers are busy with their own lives and fighting their own battles. Meanwhile, we suffer in silence. We need the body of Christ to surround us and embrace us in strength and holiness. Yet we are all alone. The world also struggles with hopelessness but of a different sort.

When everything is going great how can you see the goodness of the Lord? The devil wants you to lose hope and he wants you to start losing faith.
